FET-3

Description

Properly secure all work areas containing electrical devices where staff must move around.

Target audience

All company employees and subcontractors who do not do electrical work but who must know the risks because of transit or proximity.

Objectives

  • Teach participants to recognize electrical risks;
  • Learn how to work safely around electrical equipment.

Course content

  • Duties and responsibilities;
  • Identifying electrical risks;
  • Effect of electricity on the human body;
  • Safety practices and arc flash;
  • Extension cords and the importance of grounding;
  • Power outlets with differential ground fault detector;
  • Personal protection equipment (PPE);
  • Mobile equipment in contact with a voltage source—what to do?
