Description

Confined space, risk and responsabilities

Training intended for work performed in confined space in aircrafts and all areas partially enclosed unfit for occupancy, such as : tanks, aircraft wings, etc.
This training defines confined space (within a practical workshop framework) emphasizing on learning and experimentation, allowing all participants to use the relevant equipment (ventilation, gas detectors, etc.) within realistic simulations.

Target Audience

Any employee having to perform work in confined space.

Objectives

  • Acquire and/or broaden the knowledge of health and safety rules prevailing in Quebec and at the federal level regarding confined space;
  • Safely use the adapted equipment to work and monitor the work in confined space;
  • To know the specific responsibilities of each participant in the realization or the management of work in confined space;
  • To apply the procedures and the regulatory requirements;
  • To know the sources of information and the resource persons available for reference when performing work in confined space;
  • To use the tools and practice the methods learned during realistic simulations.

  • Potential risks in confined space and corrective measures;
  • People involved;
  • Equipment;
  • Emergency plan;
  • Management of confined spaces.
  • Practical workshops.

Educational approach

Supervised workshops, presentation and interactive animation.

Evaluation

Evaluation of the acquired knowledge through an exam and observation charts.

Duration

8 hours.
