Target audience

All company officers and managers who, without having been trained for this specifically, must understand and use financial statements and other accounting documents in their work.

Day 1

  • IASB international standards;
  • The balance sheet and its components;
  • The income statement;
  • Revenues;
  • Expenses;
  • Cost of goods sold;
  • Statement of retained earnings;
  • The transition to IFRS standards and its impact;
  • The language of accounting.

Day 2

  • Cash ratios;
  • Financial structure ratios;
  • Management ratios;
  • Profit ratios;
  • Investment ratios;
  • The manufacturing statement;
  • The financial dashboard.

Objectives

  • Become familiar with the basic concepts underlying the application of accounting principles used by companies when preparing their financial statements;
  • Use accounting information in the context of financial statement analysis;
  • Acquire the skills to develop a decision strategy based on the formulation of a financial assessment and analysis of company financial ratios.

This course relies heavily on class participation: many scenarios, as well as time scheduled for discussion and exchange, ensure better assimilation and mastery of the tools and concepts and enable participants to learn from each other’s experiences.
