The annual CCIS gala took place on November 2, 2012. At the gala, twenty businesses were honoured. The prestigious prize for business personality of the year was awarded to Chantal Trépanier, CEO of SIM.

After winning the National Bank SMB of the year award in 2011, the SIM CEO won the Desjardins Distinction Gala prize for business personality of the year, the highest distinction awarded during the evening.

SIM, with headquarters in Shawinigan, whose operations extend across the province and internationally, is growing. It is the major company for health and safety training with clients that include the most important multinationals in Québec, notably Alcoa, Danone, Arcelor Mittal, Pratt & Whitney Canada, RTA, Iamgold, to name but a few. All these businesses use the Cognibox platform, developed by Ms. Trépanier’s company, for subcontractor management and qualification.
